The Tin Drum...LOL

i've been meaning to share this with people for a long time but i always forget. this movie, THE TIN DRUM is insane! it's an old school german movie and it's about this little 8 year old boy who throws himself off some stairs which causes him to crack his head and stunt his growth. the film follows him til he's a middle aged man still stuck in this little 8 year old's body. little man does crazy shit like having sex with all these women and drumming with hitler's army, etc...worth a watch to see how crazy german cinema is.

random christian bale movie

i was chilling in paris and they have this thing that's kind of like netflix, but mostly for foreign films. however, they had a handful of random american flicks and EQUILIBRIUM was one of them. am i the only person that was unaware of this film? anyways it's pretty crazy. it's like THE MATRIX meets A BRAVE NEW WORLD. not the best movie but worth a watch if you're a bale fan.

i saw TAKING WOODSTOCK in cannes and ang lee created a masterpiece. granted it might help if you have some interest in the music/lifestyle of that era, but i think you'll like it either way. i don't know if this is your thing or not but it might be crazy to go slip some acid or eat some shrooms for this movie cuz it's full of crazy vfx that make you feel like you're already on some shit anyway. it'd definitely be intense. BUT maybe it's a bad idea cuz you might go crazy in the theater. probably smarter to experiment with the film once it's out on dvd so you can watch it at home and do whatever you feel like doing. anyways, go watch this shit.

back to the future...

waddup folks,

so i totally forgot i had this blog thing ("my mind runs, i can never catch it even if i had a head start..."-kid cudi). yeah, my shits all over the place...anyways, let me try and catch you up on all the festivities from the rest of '08 and into the '09. so we've come a long way since the days of 'promise me,' lol. [that shit's weak!] our production company got some actual work done including my feature film LIQUOR STORE CACTUS and matt's CHEER UP, SAM. both films are currently in post production but i can tell you from what i've seen that they're gonna be dope. aside from that, my short film, HUNGRY just won best drama at the international grand finale for cmf. i wasn't able to attend but my boy matt went and he apparently met christian slater and don johnson, as well as a cracked out john cho. oh and before i forget, we went to the cannes film festival in france. that shit was crazy...bunch of rich french fucks and super talented filmmakers. it was definitely a wake up call just seeing how much talent is out there. watched some dope movies like INGLORIOUS BASTARDS and TAKING WOODSTOCK. thank god tarrantino didn't act in this one...lol. aside from that, i finally graduated from the prestigious san jose state university last winter. feels good to be out of school, but at the same time it sucks. you'll know what i mean or you already know what i mean. my most recent adventure was my 2 month excursion through europe. learned some crazy shit and met some crazy people. let me tell you, amsterdam was not what i expected. i almost lost my mind there...literally. haha. well that about sums up the past year and a half of my life. i been making little tasks and shit for myself to do to stay productive so we'll see if i can keep posting shit on this site. i usually got a lot of shit on my mind anyways so this will be a good way to filter all that shit out. til next time...
